I’m using IE8 still and notice when I use the slider menu arrows to scroll down, the first top row horizontal images ends are not clearing the viewing space by 3-4px. when lower images scroll up, is that right?

The grid slider is a great idea since photographs are involved. Another idea maybe: enable caption for each photos uploaded. Maybe put in a maximum amount of characters to regulate the text caption.
